Savannah Guthrie and her family have released a new statement about their missing mother, urging Tucson,\u00a0Arizona<\/a>, residents to come forward with potential clues about 84-year-old\u2019s Nancy Guthrie\u2019s whereabouts.<\/p>\n

In their\u00a0statement\u00a0<\/a>on Sunday, the NBC Today show host and her siblings said: \u201cWe continue to believe it is Tucsonans, and the greater southern Arizona community, that hold the key to finding resolution in this case. Someone knows something. It\u2019s possible a member of this community has information that they do not even realize is significant.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hope people search their memories, especially around the key timelines of January 31 and the early morning hours of February 1, as well as the late evening of January 11,\u201d the statement continued, referring to a date that investigators have previously\u00a0expressed interest<\/a>\u00a0in without disclosing why.<\/p>\n

Guthrie and her family continued: \u201cWe desperately ask this community for renewed attention to our mom\u2019s case \u2013 please consult camera footage, journal notes, text messages, observations, or conversations that in retrospect may hold significance. No detail is too small. It may be the key.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe miss our mom with every breath, and we cannot be in peace until she is home. We cannot grieve; we can only ache and wonder. Our focus is solely on finding her and bringing her home. We want to celebrate her beautiful and courageous life, but we cannot do that until she is brought to a final place of rest,\u201d they concluded.<\/p>\n

Sunday marks seven weeks since the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, who authorities believe was abducted from her home in the Tucson.<\/p>\n

Alongside\u00a0drops of blood<\/a>\u00a0discovered on Guthrie\u2019s porch, investigators also recovered DNA from a glove found two miles from her home. The glove appeared to resemble one worn by a suspect seen in\u00a0surveillance footage<\/a>\u00a0from the night of her disappearance. However, the glove was later discredited after it was\u00a0discovered<\/a>\u00a0to have belonged to a restaurant worker, not the abductor involved in the case.<\/p>\n

Authorities say the investigation remains active, with local and federal agencies continuing to analyze forensic evidence.<\/p>\n

Over the last few weeks, investigators have canvassed nearby neighborhoods, reviewed hours of surveillance footage and conducted multiple interviews, though no arrests have been made.<\/p>\n

In February, a man was\u00a0detained<\/a>\u00a0in a traffic stop and underwent several hours of questioning \u201cin connection to the investigation\u201d before being ultimately released.<\/p>\n

Since her mother\u2019s disappearance, Savannah Guthrie has used her national platform to raise awareness, frequently sharing updates and appeals for information. Her family has offered up a $1m reward for any information about her mother.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, NBC\u00a0confirmed<\/a>\u00a0that Savannah Guthrie plans to return to the Today show but offered no timeline on when she will resume her duties.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
