“We have the proof, Victoria,” I spat, glaring up at her. “The embezzlement, the shell companies. You’re going to prison.”

Victoria laughed. It was a dry, brittle sound. “Oh, my dear, naïve girl. Do you really think I would let my son take the reins of a company without an insurance policy?” She reached into her designer briefcase and pulled out a single, thick document bound in blue leather, tossing it onto the coffee table. “Read it.”
