Natalia Dontcheva Dies: Star of French Version of ‘Doc Martin’ Was 56

Bulgarian-born actress Natalia Dontcheva, best known for portraying Julie Derville in the French adaptation of Doc Martin, has died at the age of 56.

Dontcheva died on August 1 following a long illness. Her agent, Laurent Savry, confirmed the news in a statement celebrating her talent, sensitivity and commitment to acting.

“It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Natalia Dontcheva,” Savry said. He described her as a profoundly talented artist whose precise performances and elegance touched audiences throughout her career.
