Reid’s confidence disappeared.

“You have been watching us?”

“No,” I answered. “I have been cooperating with the county prosecutor’s office.”

Reid had been advised by his attorney to meet with investigators that morning.

As the investigators escorted Reid away, he looked back at me.

Their relationship ended before the final hearing.
